Librarian II - Branch Coordinator

This newly created position reflects Duluth Public Library's excitement about providing high-quality library service to the city's neighborhoods. If you enjoy being a team leader and would like the variety of working in more than one location, then read on!
Here's what we're looking for:

    • Librarian with a Masters degree in Library Science and 2 or more years professional experience in a public library setting
    • Skilled communicator and collaborator
    • Experienced project manager
    • Enthusiastic program and event planner
    • Experienced provider of customer service

 

The ability to communicate well with different groups of people is essential for this position. The branch coordinator will be the liaison between the main library and the branches. Working with supervisory staff, the branch coordinator must be able to clearly convey goals and expectations to branch staff, while listening to their needs and suggestions. The branch coordinator must be able to work well with the public and have a strong background in quality customer service.
